The verdict

Le Panoramic offers the clearest face-to-face with Mont Blanc you can get over lunch. You go up by the Planpraz gondola and then the Brévent cable car.

Its Google rating of 4.5 from more than 1,400 reviews is one of the best among the valley's mountain restaurants.

On the menu

French and Savoyard cooking, served indoors or on the terrace. Allow €30 to €60 for a main course, as a rough guide.

Our advice

Look at the webcam before going up: in strong wind, the terrace closes and the view disappears into the clouds. The pedestrian ticket to the summit costs €43 return, on top of the meal.
