The verdict
The Hôtel de l'Arve is the most endearing three-star in the centre: 37 rooms, a garden on the riverbank and a homely atmosphere. Its Google rating of 4.6 from nearly 1,000 reviews puts it ahead of most of the town's four-star hotels.
A September 2026 check showed it from €191, more than some four-star hotels on the same dates.
On site
A lounge bar with a fireplace, a sauna, a games room and a climbing wall. Every afternoon the team serves a snack with hot drinks and homemade cakes.
The hotel also offers apartments and family rooms, some with a view of Mont Blanc.
Our advice
This is the address to aim for if you want a quiet night while staying in the centre: the river covers noise better than the bar streets. Book a room on the Arve side, and get back in time for the afternoon snack.
